This is the first part of a series that I'll be writing. The reason that it is in one big paragraph is because I'm writing this part in the first person. I'm pretty excited about this series, so expect some more soon.
They promised us prosperity. They promised us technology. They gave us war. Senseless violence stemming from some sort of blown out of proportion national disagreement. It wasn't fair. I'm sitting here in my empty room writing this because today, for the first time in my life I felt hope. Ever since I remember I haven't seen people fighting back, but today I certainly did. They were masked freaks, but whatever. I saw them and I hope that they pull us through somehow. I didn't see anything extoardinary about them. Well, I only did see them for about five seconds or so. They went against our so called "protectors", or whatever they call themselves. It was great, I'd even call it patriotism. The group ran into the security station (where the "protectors" hold the hostages unrightfully) seemingly set it on fire, and then ran out WITH the hostages! I came by this on the way back from lectures. Right after they fled, the security station was set on fire. I don't know how, or what exactly the group did inside but it was inspiring. So inspiring I ran home to write this blog! I just feel if this group expands, then we'll finally have away to strong arm them. I mean this war has been going on since I was only three and the soldiers have been posted here in America since I was seven. This is a huge happening for me. I see change. That's all I can say....
