Shot down in the eye of the battle
Down and out for months at a time
All the doubt, now it's about

Time to call the guns for the very first time
To face the dogs, no matter how sharp their teeth may be
Shining bright in the face of adverse skies
Make something that'll shine on forever
The light you create shines brighter than your face
(Arm yourself with the colours in your heart)
Smash your glass (most likely fake glass) on the head
Of the man with the hat
Stay true to Mr. Worrier (your conscience)
Wave your brush with heavy strides
Spewing colours through monochrome skies
Don't be weary of their hateful lies
As that's just the way things are
We all rise, and we all fall
You will rise again, from a pile of their ash
You will drive again, smash a car, and kick some ass
Anxious words, do not dwell, or stay
Don't hesitate to celebrate
A life that has barely been started
Your colours have not yet departed
The colours in your heart
Your light will never go out!
